The member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has initiated the installation of solar-powered street lights in Ukwuakwu Ututu, Arochukwu Local Government Area, as part of his campaign commitment to the community.

Represented by his Chief of Staff, Chief Idika Ike, Hon. Osonwa assured the residents that the solar lighting project marks the beginning of significant development in Ututu. He emphasized the importance of the initiative in addressing long-standing concerns about night-time visibility and safety.

Community Head, HRH Ezeogo Eke John, expressed his appreciation, noting that the installation of street lights was a critical need for the community. He highlighted a recent incident in which an elderly woman fell on the dark roads, stressing the necessity of lighting the streets to avoid such unfortunate occurrences.

The youth leader, Mr. Uche Samuel Agwu, echoed the community’s gratitude and acknowledged the project as the first of its kind from a House of Representatives member in their locality in recent years. Agwu urged Hon. Osonwa to also prioritize road improvements for the community.
