The Oweikorogha community in Bayelsa State has successfully launched an 80kWp solar mini-grid, providing reliable and sustainable electricity to approximately 2,000 residents. This solar project, developed by Ceesolar Energy Limited and financed through All On’s Niger Delta Electrification Programme, aims to address the energy deficit in underserved regions of Nigeria. With a 60kW inverter system and 120kWh energy storage, the mini-grid directly benefits 430 new connections, including households, businesses, and public institutions. The initiative is not only helping bridge the energy gap but also contributing to environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions.
Ceesolar Energy’s CEO, Chibueze Ekeh, expressed pride in their commitment to sustainable energy, highlighting how the project will improve the lives of the community by providing clean, reliable power. Osagie Okunbor, Chairman of All On’s Board, emphasized that this initiative marks a significant step toward a more electrified and prosperous Niger Delta.
